For the last 5 years Sue McVicker has been CEO of Croydon Neighbourhood Care Association, which is one of the oldest infrastructure charities covering all of Croydon.
We are committed to supporting groups and charities across Croydon who provide a network of essential support and services to the over 65’s enabling better outcomes for those older people alleviating loneliness and isolation, and ensuring their voice is heard.
Alongside this work, Sue devised and funded a thriving Befriending Service for Croydon supporting the most vulnerable clients in the borough, those with no support networks, complex needs, victims of crime, the only service of its kind in the borough, it’s success speaks for itself, from the initial idea and client 4 years ago, we now provide thousands of hours of complex help and support to those most vulnerable people, keeping them safe and supported in so many ways as well as working in partnership with all other agencies involved.
Sue has worked across London for over 36 years and across many different fields, this experience has enabled her to influence decision makers throughout the borough, and ensure the very best outcome for the most vulnerable people is heard and is at the heart of all service provision.
Sue’s vision is for an effective sustainable voluntary sector in Croydon and to working in partnership to achieve this.
